Is this the unluckiest wine shop owner ever?

The owner of a bottle shop in Sydney has spent the past month dealing with mysterious instances of public defecation on the premises.

Working in a wine shop comes with all manner of problems, but public defecation is one the rarer issues.

Sadly, that can’t be said for Jim Shwilk, the owner of Porter’s Liquor in Pyrmont, Sydney, who told Mercury Press last week that his shop has been plagued by a “mystery pooper” leaving unpleasant deposits in the store’s courtyard.

Shwilk said he first came across a “large deposit” at the rear of the shop around two weeks ago.

“I put it down to a bad experience and thought someone had let their dog do it,” he said adding that he assumed it was left by “a large dog that wasn’t feeling very well.”

But last Tuesday the business owner noticed another large deposit as he was leaving the shop for an appointment

He explained: “The situation is certainly awful.”

“Once is unfortunate, twice is a coincidence but I really don’t want a third time.

“Because we were unsure of why this kept happening and who was allowing it, we decided to check the CCTV footage to see what was going on.”

Much to Shwik’s surprise the mystery defecator wasn’t a dog, but was in fact a young, female jogger.

“You can imagine our shock and dismay to discover what we have now seen.”

The owner said he didn’t want to “name and shame” the mystery pooper, but released CCTV footage as a deterrent to the jogger, who has been dubbed by Australian news outlets the “Pyrmont Pooper”, reports the Sun.

“He added: “I have never seen the woman before and she isn’t a customer of ours.

“She was around mid-twenties, a jogger and wearing a rucksack.

“I was more than prepared to give her the benefit of the doubt. I suspect she was caught short.”
