Clos19 to offer Champagne harvest weekend

Online wine hub Clos19 is to offer a peek behind the doors of a Champagne house at harvest time with weekend visits to houses across the LVMH portfolio.

Starting at £3,400 per person, the experience will take place over two days in mid-September and numbers will be strictly limited.

It is the latest addition to LVMH’s already sizeable luxury oenotourism offer. Starting with this year’s harvest, a select number of visits will take place during each vintage with the itinerary changing from year to year.

This year, guests will stay at the newly renovated Royal Champagne hotel and enjoy the hospitality of Ruinart, Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot during their stay.

They will get ‘hands on’ experience of picking in the vineyards and visits to the pressing rooms and cellars to see what goes on during harvest time – a process normally hidden from outsiders.

As well as the technical side, guests will enjoy evenings with the Ruinart winemaking team and at the Orangery at Moët & Chandon.
