Burleighs Gin releases collaboration with Leicester Tigers rugby

Burleighs Gin has released a special collaboration with rugby union club Leicester Tigers which will be available at the team’s Welford Road home ground as well as Burleighs’ bars.

Burleighs Gin, owned and produced by 45 West Distillers, has unveiled the collaboration inspired by the rugby team’s colours of red, white and green.

Flavoured with silver birch, dandelion, burdock and elderberry, the botanicals are inspired by the distillery’s woodland location.

Available to pre-order from the gin brand’s website for £35, the gin will also be available from the rugby club’s home ground, Burleighs’ Leicester-based bars as well as at a number of launch events taking place.

The gin will be unveiled at an event following the Tigers’ first home game against the Newcastle Falcons on 8 September, with members of the rugby team due to attend.

The rugby team will also be hosting a special event on 25 September at Welford road at which Burleighs’ mixologists will be giving demonstrations and holding a Q&A session.

Andrea Pinchen, commercial director at Leicester Tigers, said: “Gin has risen in popularity in recent years so it’s hugely exciting to be able to work with a successful local distiller in Burleighs to create our own Leicester Tigers offering. “Having worked closely with Matt Payne and his team, we’re proud to support the Leicestershire business and, with a huge mix of fans around the world, our gin-lovers won’t be disappointed”.

Matt Payne, Burleighs managing director, added: “It’s a huge honour to partner with one of world’s elite sporting teams to create a unique gin offering. Our business has long been an advocate of supporting local businesses and teaming up with Leicester Tigers is something for the county to be very proud of.” Leicester Tigers and Burleighs will offering exclusive competitions and gin experiences to season ticket holders and fans throughout the season”.
