The Asian Malbec Masters 2018 now opens for entry

The drinks business Hong Kong is now accepting entries for the Asian Malbec Masters 2018, which will be the biggest and most extensive blind tasting competition in Asia, focusing solely on Malbec.

An expert panel of judges including Master Sommelier, Master of Wine and senior trade buyers in Hong Kong will assess the quality of all the samples including pure Malbecs or blends of at least 50% of the grape.

Chaired by the drinks business Hong Kong, the Asian Masters series, first launched last year in Asia, have grown to be one of the best wine competitions in the region.

Judged blind by style and price, the winning wines will be awarded with medals from Bronze through to Gold. Master is reserved for the exceptional and standout wines of the day, scoring an average of 95 points or above.

The cost to enter is HK$1,540 per wine with three samples. The deadline for samples to arrive is 1 March 2018.
