Omtis takes on Château Léoube in HK

Provence rosé producer Château Léoube has signed a new distribution deal in Hong Kong and Macau with Omtis Fine Wines to distribute its wines including the newly released ‘Love by Léoube’.

The rosé is a new addition to the existing portfolio including ‘Rosé de Léoube’, ‘Secret de Léoube’ and ‘Léoube la Londe’, all made using organic methods.

Pre-launched last Christmas in Barbados, ‘Love by Léoube’ is made by the fourth generation winemaker Romain Ott, and is a blend of Grenache and Cinsault.

“Hong Kong is a very mature market, with a very cosmopolitan population. Rosé is the wine style with the best growth worldwide. Provence rosé is well known and definitely on the rise in Asia,” Wilfried Sentex, the winery’s Asia sales manager, told dbHK on rosé’s market potential in the region.

The release in Hong Kong will mark the debut of the rosé in the Asian market, he added, hoping to capitalise on rosé’s vast growth potential in the city, where rosé consumption only accounted for 2.2% of the city’s total consumption of 3.69 million 9-litre cases in 2016 based on Vinexpo and IWSR figures.

Château Léoube embodies what Omtis seeks when partnering with wineries – a sharp aim at achieving and providing quality product and service, as well as a deep-rooted passion for crafting the unique. Our team was instantly inspired by this family-owned ‘organic artisan by the sea’ and we are certain the wines will captivate wine lovers throughout Hong Kong and Macau,” Omtis commented on the partnership.

In addition to the rose winés, three of its estate wines including ’Blanc de Léoube’, ‘Collector Blanc de Noirs’ and ‘Collector Grand Vin Rouge’ will be carried by Omtis as well.

The wines will be available at French Creations Restaurant Group’s outlets, including Pastis, F.A.B., Metropolitain, Eiffel Bistro, and Saint-Germain, and will be present for Le French GourMay Provence campaign in Hong Kong.
