Conviviality CFO Humphreys to step down

UK wholesaler and distributor Conviviality Plc has announced the appointment of Mark Moran as its new CFO, who will take up the role following the departure of Andrew Humphreys at the end of this month.

Andrew Humphreys will step down as CFO on 30 October.

Andrew Humphreys, the current CFO, will be leaving the company on 30 October after “three successful years with the company”.

In a statement, Conviviality said: “Andrew leaves with our utmost appreciation and thanks for the significant role he has played in the transformation of the company from its roots as the UK’s leading off-license brand and alcohol wholesaler to Franchisees, to the UK’s leading independent wholesaler and distributor to the on- and off-trade”.

Humphreys will leave the business after a period of handover to his successor, Moran.

Moran, 57, has over 20 years’ experience at CFO level, holding the position at three public companies: Porvair Plc, SSL International Plc and and Premier Foods Plc. Latterly he was CFO at private equity owned Priory Healthcare Group before its acquisition by Acadia Healthcare in 2016.

In his previous roles he has become experienced in acquisitions and disposals, business restructuring and major refinancing.

Diana Hunter, CEO of Conviviality, said: “We are hugely grateful for Andrew’s contribution to Conviviality, having played a key role in the company’s significant growth, including his pivotal roles in the Matthew Clark and Bibendum PLB acquisitions. He leaves with the best wishes of the Board for his future career.

“We are delighted to welcome Mark to the company and look forward to him supporting and contributing to the company’s further development as the UK’s leading independent wholesaler and distributor of alcohol and impulse”.
