Hattingley Valley partners Enotria&Coe

Hampshire-based Hattingley Valley has announced that Enotria&Coe will take over as its UK distributor to cope with its “increasing volumes and ambitions.”

Hattingley has said that its decision ‘signals its desire to accelerate growth and match the increasing volume by working with a larger company on a more exclusive basis.’

Enotria&Coe will now list Hattingley’s NV Classic Reserve, 2011 Blanc de Blanc and 2014 sparkling rosé in its portfolio. It takes over from Liberty Wines who have worked with Hattingley since 2013.

Hattingley joins Enotria&Coe’s other English wine producers: Lyme Bay and Camel Valley.

Sales and export manager for Hattingley Valley, Gareth Maxwell commented: “We have worked well with Liberty Wines since 2013 and they have a great business backed by a superb team.

“However, the opportunity to work with such a long-established business as Enotria&Coe’s as their lead English sparkling wine product was too great for us, as a young, fast-growing business, to pass up. We felt that Enotria&Coe have the capacity to be able to cope with our increasing volumes and ambitions.”

English Wine buyer at Enotria&Coe, Maggie MacPherson, added: “The growth in English sparkling wine has been well documented over the past couple of years and I am thrilled that we will be increasing our own stellar line up of English wine producers with Hattingley Valley.

“Their dedication to innovation is very exciting and of course the wines speak for themselves and are outstanding. It is both of these qualities that highlight why Hattingley Valley are a natural fit within our premium wine and spirits portfolio.”

In May 2016, Hattingley Valley partnered Champagne Pommery in a project that will see Pommery’s chef de cave Theirry Gasco selecting and blending the produce of Hattingley’s winemaker Emma Rice.
