Hennessy partners with Demon Dayz festival

Hennessy has partnered with a new UK festival launching next month called the Demon Dayz – a one day event curated by former Blur frontman and Gorillaz co-founder Damon Albarn.

The new festival will launch at Dreamland – an amusement park in Margate – on 10 June and will feature musical acts including Vince Staples, Danny Brown, De La Soul, Kali Uchis and a headline slot by Gorillaz.

The amusement park boasts restored vintage rides and beach views, with its Hall By The Sea venue previously playing host to legendary acts including The Who and The Rolling Stones.

Hennessy will be an official sponsor of the Demon Dayz festival, with its ‘Blend the Unexpected’ bar set to pop up in the main arena offering festival-goers the chance to experience its Cognac through innovative mixology.

A selection of “daring and conceptual” cocktails will be available, including a concoction of three famous drinks blended into one, a “surprising” white balsamic vinegar-based cocktail and another that changes colour as it’s poured.

“Hennessy has a long history of supporting and partnering creative and musical talent internationally, those who are pushing the boundaries in their fields and daring to be different,” said Hennessy in a release announcing the partnership.

“From the limited edition collaborations with street artists Shepard Fairey and tattoo artist Scott Campbell to partnerships with urban music icons such as Nas. Today Hennessy is proud to be partnering with forward-thinking artists at the heart of culture and creativity here in Britain.”

The festival is named after the Gorillaz second album Demon Days (2005).
