Pamela Anderson launches wine range

Former bouncing Baywatch bombshell Pamela Anderson has teamed up with The Hatch winery in Canada to launch her own wine range.

Pamela Anderson has shown her Contempt for the wine industry with the launch of her own Canadian wine range

Called ‘Contempt’, the range is accompanied a blurb worthy of the most egregious perfume advertisement:

“Inspired by, French cinemas, the dangerous fall, the unlucky turn – drama, glamour, art, love, fashion… Contempt – I wanted these wines to convey a feeling, a message, a warning, something romantic, real, with a ‘pink’ edge.

“The artist – Connor Tingley – and winemaker – Jason Parkes – share that edge, the fine line – contempt ends, where love begins – forgiveness, always a battle – wishing you love, Pamela.”

No one could be found to explain what that means.

The first of the range of six wines, which will be made by songwriter turned winemaker Jason Parkes at The Hatch winery in West Kelowna, Okanagan Valley, is a sparkling brut rosé.

The Contempt range was launched in Vancouver on 21 June.

In recent years Pamela Anderson has swapped bikinis and Playboy cover shoots, for book writing and political activism.

The Pamela Anderson Foundation supports organisations that fight for human, animal and environmental rights. Anderson is currently working on a book called The Sensual Vegan.

Anderson’s foundation website states: “Adored by people around the world, she has found the balance between sexy and self-aware, one contemptuous sip at a time.”

No one could be found to explain what that means.
