Zachys announces first ever NY ‘flash sale’
With just nine lots of as-yet-unnamed Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, the latest Zachys auction will be open for only five hours for US buyers on 5 November.
Zachys’ president Jeff Zacharia commented on the new format of auction, saying: “This is just one more in a long list of new auctions Zachys has introduced to our clientele.
“Everyone’s familiar with the excitement that comes from raising your paddle as the auctioneer calls out the bids…this shortened sale format should add some of the ‘thrill of the chase’ to the online auction format.”
The lots which consist of only nine Domaine de la Romanée-Conti have not been named, but the New York auction house advises its clients to “stay tuned” for the start of the sale which will go live at 12pm EDT on 5 November.
For those fortunate enough to live in Manhattan or Westchester, Zachys offers free same-day delivery and for everyone else, a chargeable overnight shipping service applies.
