Sarment strengthens Asia presence

Wine merchant Sarment, known for its team of renowned sommeliers, has expanded its operations by venturing into Singapore, writes Mandy Lynn.

Wine merchant Sarment officially launched in Singapore on 21 November with the aim to strengthen its presence in Asia and complement its existing presence in China, Hong Kong, London and Geneva.

“More Asian consumers are embracing wine as part of their lifestyle and there has been a greater demand for specialized wine services and experiences beyond purchase.

“In the coming year, we plan to establish Singapore as the main hub for the region while we look to expand our operations to other parts of South-East Asia like Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Malaysia and Indonesia,” says founder, Bertrand Faure Beaulieu.

Working on a unique concept model, Sarment offers a signature membership programme designed to offer wine enthusiasts a complete luxury lifestyle experience through three membership tiers: Noveau, Luxe and Privé whereby members will receive exclusive benefits such as invitations to wine events, priority offers and discounts.

Priding itself in representing the best of winemaking, Sarment boasts a team of world renowned sommeliers such as Jean-Marie Pratt; former head sommelier at Gordon Ramsay’s three-Michelin starred restaurant in London, Swift Hu; second runner up in China National Sommelier Competition 2013, Ryan Gan and Vincent Tan, second runner up at Singapore National Sommelier Competition 2013 and 2014 respectively.
