Enotria on top in the on-trade
Enotria showed that big can be beautiful as the company took home On-trade Supplier of the Year at The Drinks Business Awards 2012.
In a year that saw the company leapfrog competitor Matthew Clark to gain the largest share of the UK on-trade with 8.5% of all listings, according to a recent report from Wine Business Solutions, Enotria impressed by combining scale with attention to detail.
In particular, the judges highlighted Enotria’s carefully tailored training booklet and relaunched website, which offers the trade an online ordering service.
A high quality list, coupled with the option of a separate single bottle price showed that this is a company with the flexibility and range to meet the needs of a broad cross-section of the UK’s on-trade venues.
The prize formed part of a double win for Enotria at The Drinks Business Awards 2012, with the company’s CEO Alison Levett being named Woman of the Year.
There was also strong praise for this year’s runner up in the category, Jascots Wine Merchants. The company was commended for punching above its weight with “great service” and a strong environmental approach.
Also shortlisted in this category was Bibendum Wine. A full list of the 2012 winners is available here.
