Lloyd Stephens quits First Quench

Lloyd Stephens has quit as commercial director of First Quench Retailing after two-and-a-half years with the company.

Stephens leaves the business in a bid to “explore other opportunities”, according to the troubled retail group.

News of his departure swiftly follows that of Jonathan Butt, head of global sourcing, who is set to leave the business next month .

Mike Osmond, previously board director responsible for buying at Somerfield, has taken over as commercial director at First Quench with immediate effect.
A First Quench statement said: “Mike joins First Quench at an important time for the business as it begins to put in place a number of strategic and operational initiatives to position the business for future success.”
Martin Healy, acting chief executive, said: “I would like to thank Lloyd for his valuable contribution to the business over the last couple of years, and I wish him the very best for the future.

“I am delighted that Mike is joining First Quench and I and the team are very much looking forward to working with him as we begin to put in place the building blocks for future growth.

“Mike has had a very impressive career in retail spanning nearly 30 years and his significant experience in building businesses for success will be invaluable as we move forward.”

Osmond said: “I’m delighted to be joining First Quench. It is a strong business with great prospects and solid plans for the future.
