Jackson is new MD at FGL

With the integration of Southcorp and Beringer Blass completed, Peter Jackson has been named the new managing director of FGL Wine Estates. He takes over the role from the previous managing director, John Phillips.

Jackson has more than 20 years’ experience in the drinks industry, working in both marketing and general management. Most recently, he was the commercial director of FGL Wine Estates EMEA in Continental Europe. Prior to this, Jackson held positions with Bass and Anheuser-Busch.

After a brief spell as the head of an internet security company, in 2001 Jackson joined Southcorp, which was acquired by Foster’s in 2005.

The managing director of Foster’s Wine Estates, Jamie Odell, said that, “Peter Jackson has delivered outstanding results through his team leadership abilities and strong commitment to a consumer-led, customer-driven ethos.”

On his appointment, Jackson commented: “I am delighted to lead the business at such an exciting time.”

FGL Wine Estates is the UK and European sales and marketing wine division of Foster’s Wine Estates.
