Moore for Wine Australia’s UK arm

Wine Australia has recruited Kirsten Moore to be the new regional manager for the UK and Ireland

Wine Australia has recruited Kirsten Moore to be the new regional manager for the UK and Ireland. Moore has experience of both on- and off-trade channels and joins Wine Australia from a buying role at the Compass Group.

WSET-qualified Moore is looking forward to the challenge of keeping Australian wine front-of-mind for both the trade and consumers.

“Australia has enjoyed such success over the last decade in the UK market that the challenge now is to maintain that position, perhaps by shifting the perception Australian wines have in the minds of the consumer,” she said. “Australia has such regional and stylistic diversity, producing wines of quality and interest at all price points and I would love to see that represented in the marketplace.”

Paul Henry, newly appointed general manager for Wine Australia added, “Kirsten impressed the interview panel with her grasp of the challenges that Australia has to face in order to stay relevant and compelling to a maturing UK market.

“I have every confidence that she will make a significant and successful contribution to the next phase of Australia’s development.”
