Bacardi promotes senior executives in regional leadership reshuffle
Spirits titan Bacardi has announced a series of senior leadership appointments as part of a continued focus on developing talent from within the business.

The Bermuda-headquartered company said Ignacio ‘Nacho’ Del Valle is set to become regional president for Latin America and the Caribbean from October.
Del Valle, who has spent three decades with Bacardi, most recently oversaw operations in Europe as well as Latin America and the Caribbean. During his career, he has held a range of commercial and production roles across multiple markets.
Meanwhile, Vijay Subramaniam, currently regional president for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA) and Global Travel Retail, will take over as regional president for Europe.
Subramaniam joined Bacardi in 2013 as managing director for India and later assumed responsibility for AMEA in 2018. The company said he had helped drive growth across its portfolio in the region and expanded its presence in the global travel retail sector.
The third appointment sees Vinay Golikeri promoted from managing director for India and Southeast Asia to regional president for AMEA and Global Travel Retail.

Golikeri has worked at Bacardi for more than 20 years in commercial and marketing roles. He has led the company’s operations in several emerging markets and previously held leadership positions in travel retail and brand management.
Championing internal talent
In his new role, Golikeri will join Del Valle and Subramaniam on Bacardi’s Global Leadership Team, reporting directly to chief executive Mahesh Madhavan.
Announcing the changes, Madhavan said the appointments demonstrated the strength of the company’s internal talent pipeline.
“We’re proud to appoint exceptional talent from within our organisation into these critical roles,” he said.
“They have built their careers with us – progressing from market-level roles to some of the most senior positions in the company – which speaks to both their individual achievements and the strength of our talent pipeline.”
All three appointments will take effect on 1 October 2026.
