After a 10-year hiatus, Virginia Wine will return to the LWF, taking place this May at Olympia in Kensington.

At stand D54, nine Virginia wineries will showcase a selection of wines. The wineries include Commonwealth Crush, Domaine Finot, Early Mountain Vineyards, King Family Vineyards, Lightwell Survey Winery, Paradise Springs Winery, Rosemont of Virginia, Southwest Mountains Vineyards, and The Williamsburg Winery.

The presence of these producers at LWF aims to highlight the innovation, ambition, and quality that characterise Virginia’s wine industry.

Positioned between Europe and California, Virginia’s wines are said to combine ‘the subtlety of the Old World with the boldness of the New World.’

Aubrey Rose from Rosemont of Virginia, and a member of the Virginia Wine Board, commented: “Returning to the LWF after a decade marks an important moment for Virginia Wine. During that time, we’ve seen meaningful investment in both vineyards and winemaking, along with growing confidence in the styles that define our region.

“Varieties like Petit Manseng and Cabernet Franc continue to lead the way, offering fresh, expressive interpretations of classic grapes that highlight Virginia’s distinct character. At the same time, we’re seeing exciting momentum from emerging varietals that are expanding the conversation around what Virginia can produce.

“We believe the time is right to reintroduce Virginia to the UK, and we look forward to building new partnerships and increasing awareness of Virginia wines.”

Virginia Wine highlights at this year’s LWF include a session titled Cabernet Franc and Beyond: From Terroir to Identity in Virginia Wine on 19 May from 2.30pm-3.30pm. The session will be hosted by West London Wine School’s Jimmy Smith and Virginia-based educator and Virginia Wine Coalition coordinator, Matthew Brown.

Also on 19 May, wine writer and the director of the Virginia Governor’s Cup Competition, Frank Morgan, will be at the stand on Tuesday from 10am to 12pm, hosting a special tasting of wines from the winning case of the Virginia Governor’s Cup.

Each day of the fair, the stand will host a pop-up tasting at 12.30pm. On Monday, the initiative will be led by Matthew Brown, with a focus on wines from Barboursville Vineyards, while Michael Shaps Wineworks will take over the pop-up on Tuesday, followed by Veritas Vineyards and Winery on Wednesday.
