Did Halle Berry really down half a pint of whiskey?

Hollywood actress Halle Berry stunned fans at this year’s San Diego Comic Con after appearing to down half a pint of whiskey while promoting her latest film, Kingsman: The Golden Circle.

Halle Berry appeared to down half a pint of whisky while taking part in a panel discussion at Comic Con

The actress was taking part in a panel discussion at the world famous convention in San Diego for her latest film Kingsman: The Golden Circle, the sequel to the 2014 hit film Kingsman: The Secret Service, when a glass of whiskey was placed in front of her.

The movie, which also stars Channing Tatum, Colin Firth, Taron Egerton and Game of Thrones’ Pedro Pascal, features a fictional bourbon that serves as a business front for US secret agents, so it made sense for the spirit to make an appearance.

Placed before her at the beginning of the session, the Oscar winner at first ignored the liquor in front of her, until she was asked a question she would seemingly rather drink half a pint of whisky than answer.

The actress was asked by an audience member which movie she thought was more British – James Bond or Kingsman? The actress has of course now starred in both franchises.

With Berry grimacing under the pressure, Channing suggested she should drink the pint instead of giving an answer.

“Oh, I can you know, would you like to see that?’ said Berry, before downing the drink and pretending to fall off her chair.

When asked whether the whisky was real, Berry told Entertainment Tonight: “Let that be a mystery to the world. Never dare a girl like me to do anything, because I just take the challenge.”

“Kingsman would like to remind you to drink responsibly,” Ross added quickly after the stunt. “She’s a professional, she can handle it.”

Old Forester has since confirmed the release of a special bourbon to tie in with the film’s release, and the bourbon that it features. Statesman Bourbon, is a special selection batch of Old Forester’s typical premium bourbon.
