Worker stamps ‘Tom Brady Sux’ on 20,000 beer cans

A mischievous brewery worker named Biscuit stamped “Tom Brady Sux” on 20,000 cans of Sun King Brewing’s “Wee Mac Scottish Ale” in reference to the “deflate-gate” scandal surrounding the US footballer.

The Indianapolis Brewery blamed, and also credited, the prank on “Biscuit” after New England Patriots fans, Brady’s team, picked up on the jibe.

The modified “born-on-date” coincided with the announcement of Brady’s four-game suspension by the NFL over the so-called “deflate gate”. Brady was accused of deflating a number of footballs used in last season’s AFC Championship game against the Indianapolis Colts to suit his preference for throwing deflated balls. The Patriots won the game convincingly and went on to win the Super Bowl. Sun King Brewing, based in Indianapolis, sells beer at the Colts’ home stadium.

“It was a prank by Biscuit,” confirmed Sun King co-owner Clay Robinson speaking to the Indy Star. “It wasn’t an idea we came up with at all. Every day, we change the thing on the bottom of our cans. One of the guys running the canning lines had to come up with something. Biscuit is his name. So Biscuit put ‘Tom Brady Sux.’”

“Biscuit”, who still works for the brewer, is now required to submit a list of the things he intends to stamp on the bottom of beer cans each week.

Luckily for Biscuit, Sun King Brewing seemed to see the funny side of his prank.

“I actually thought it was funny. Now there are thousands of cans out there that say ‘Tom Brady Sux’”, said Robinson.
