Corbin & King to open Alsace restaurant
Chris Corbin and Jeremy King, the duo behind The Wolseley, The Delaunay and Brasserie Zédel are to open a brasserie shining a light on food and wine from Alsace.
As reported by Hot Dinners, the 200-seater restaurant will be called Bellanger after 1920s French car manufacturer Société des Automobiles Bellanger Frères.
Situated on Islington Green, the “brasserie in the proper Alsace tradition” is due to open this autumn on a site previously occupied by Browns.
Looking after the interiors will be Shayne Brady, who designed Corbin and King’s Fischer’s, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zédel and Colbert under David Collins.
Corbin and King have a tradition of naming their restaurants after car makers, such as Wolseley Motors, Automobiles Delaunay-Belleville and Colbert Auto.
