From Highland whisky in Hollywood to rosé in London, the week brought together producers, writers and winemakers with a strong sense of place running through the glass.

Château Léoube pours the new vintage in London

Château Léoube welcomed trade, press and customers to The Terrace at The Coal Office for its annual tasting of new vintage organic rosé wines.

Head winemaker Romain Ott travelled to London to present the latest releases, including Love by Léoube, Château Rosé and Secret de Léoube Rosé, alongside the estate’s whites, reds and sparkling wines. Guests also tasted Léoube’s olive oils, blended by Ott in a style intended to mirror the balance and character of the wines.

Canadian wineries gather at Canada House

Producers from Ontario, British Columbia, Nova Scotia and Quebec gathered at Canada House for Taste Canada.

Twenty-six wineries presented their latest wines to UK sommeliers, buyers and journalists inside the Trafalgar Square venue, home to the Canadian High Commission.

Tejo masterclass explores a new sub-region

Dirceu Vianna Junior MW led a masterclass alongside Luis de Castro, examining Tejo’s newly announced Serras sub-region.

Presented during a tasting focused on “New Terroir, Old Vines and Modern Styles of Tejo”, the session explored how altitude, old vines and cooler mountain conditions are shaping wines with freshness, structure and ageing potential.

Manchester hosts the fourth UK Coravin Paulée

Manchester marked the fourth UK Coravin Paulée, after London, Edinburgh and Dublin, with a lunch at Portfolio, followed by a Coravin Guide panel chaired by Douglas Byde, featuring Coravin inventor and founder Greg Lambrecht, with Kelly Bishop and Simon Woods, and showcasing bottles from Bolle, Telmont and Wines of Lugana.

Harrison Ford celebrated the launch of the Glenmorangie Harrison Ford Limited Edition at Sunset Tower Hotel.

Wearing a kilt and sporran, Ford poured drams for guests while reuniting with Bill Lumsden, Glenmorangie’s Director of Whisky Creation, following their collaboration on the campaign Once Upon a Time in Scotland.

Taittinger returns to the BAFTA Television Awards

Champagne Taittinger toasted the 2026 BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises as Official Champagne Partner to BAFTA, a relationship which began in 2003.

Eight Lands introduces a new identity

Eight Lands unveiled new packaging for its Organic Speyside Gin and Organic Speyside Vodka.

Created with branding agency Stranger & Stranger, the redesign draws on the landscape around Glenrinnes, with references to Ben Rinnes and the distillery’s Highland setting. The Speyside producer is preparing for further international expansion following growth in the UK, US and China.

Elizabeth Gabay MW marks 40 years with Provence

Elizabeth Gabay hosted a tasting and dinner at Porte Noire celebrating four decades of working with the wines of Provence.

Joined by co-author and son Ben Bernheim, Gabay launched a new book on the region while revisiting Provence’s long relationship with red and white wines alongside rosé. Guests tasted wines from estates including Château Minuty, Château de Mille and Domaine de Trévallon.

Luján de Cuyo DOC brings Argentine Malbec to London

Luján de Cuyo DOC hosted its first UK masterclass for the London wine trade at the Institute of Masters of Wine, chaired by Tim Atkin.

The session examined the origins and evolution of South America’s oldest DOC through terroir-focused barrel samples and commercially significant wines. Speakers included Martin Kaiser of Doña Paula, Pablo Cuneo of Luigi Bosca, Cristian Linares of Trivento and Angelina Altieri of Altieri Wines – Vinorum.
