Freixenet launches ‘super-premium’ alcohol-free sparkling wine
Freixenet is expanding its alcohol-free range with the launch of Diamond 0.0% – its first ‘super-premium’ non-alcoholic sparkling wine, according to the world’s biggest Cava brand.

The product, made from Italian grapes and dealcoholised to retain its flavour profile, will be available in 75cl bottles from April 2026 in the UK, with an RRP of £9.50 – almost double the price of its existing 0% sparkling wine.
The move comes as demand for alcohol-free alternatives continues to grow, with the segment increasing by 13% in 2024, according to IWSR data. While still relatively small in volume terms, the category is being driven by changing consumer habits, including a shift towards moderation and more flexible drinking patterns.
Diamond 0.0% will be introduced initially in the UK, Poland and Belgium. Freixenet also plans to expand the range later in 2026 with rosé and still variants, as it builds its presence in the alcohol-free sparkling category.

Speaking at Wine Paris in February, where db co-hosted a masterclass with Henkell-Freixenet, Eberhard Benz, the chief technical officer at the group, said that Henkell Freixenet is actively shaping the global non-alcoholic sparkling wine market, led by brands Mionetto and Freixenet. This year, it has added Fürst von Metternich Riesling Alcohol-Free to the range.
Helping the category, he said, is fast-developing technology, citing a combination of vacuum distillation and aroma recovery as key to allowing wine to retain its natural characters, even without alcohol.
