Globus Spirits appoints Shekhar Swarup as CEO
Shekhar Swarup has stepped into the role of CEO at Indian spirits producer Globus Spirits today (5 March), following a board meeting.

Swarup will continue in his current role as joint managing director, while assuming the CEO role under the Key Managerial Personnel team at the New Delhi-based manufacturer. The move is part of the company’s efforts to strengthen its leadership structure.
The business, which operates distilleries in several states including Rajasthan, Haryana, West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and Uttar Pradesh, said the update was made to ensure that its records with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) accurately reflect the current organisational structure.
The appointment is effective from 5 March 2026, as approved by the board.
Career history
As part of his current directorial position, which he has held since February 2017, Swarup spearheads the company’s strategic vision, culture and high-level operations.

Before taking on the joint managing director role, Swarup worked as executive director at the company from October 2011 to January 2017. His earlier roles at Globus Spirits also include serving as an executive between October 2008 and September 2011.
Globus Spirits Limited, incorporated in 1993, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of alcoholic beverages and bulk alcohol products in India.
Company production
The company operates across multiple segments including manufacturing and consumer brands, covering the alcohol value chain from production to branded spirits.
Its consumer brands include Dōaab, Terai Dry Gin, Snoski, Oakton and Brothers & Co. whisky.
Its broader operations include the production of ethanol, rectified spirit, extra-neutral alcohol and Indian-made foreign liquor, as well as value and premium spirits brands.
