Key trade shows to mark in your calendar for 2026

From Montpellier to Mumbai, the drinks industry can look forward to a lengthy list of must-attend trade fairs and events scheduled for 2026, as db discovers.

The 2026 wine events calendar is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet, with the sector’s biggest fairs rolling out a jam-packed itinerary of tastings, tours and trend-influenced events. From low-and-no showcases to city-wide celebrations and smarter matchmaking services, there’s something for every palate, with organisers gearing up for record-breaking crowds. It’s set to be a full-throttle year for the wine trade, so buckle up.

MILLÉSIME BIO, 26-28 JANUARY

Figures: Last year, the fair welcomed 9,500 trade visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from 16 countries. This year, around 10,000 visitors are expected to attend and 1,400 exhibitors.

What’s new this year? For the first time, exhibitors from a single country or major wine region will be grouped in the same hall, streamlining the experience for visitors. There will also be two new areas – one dedicated to ‘NoLow&Bio’ and the other to biodynamic products.

Satellite events: The fair will partner with a host of tourism professionals to help visitors organise their stay, including offering organic wine tours across the South of France.

BARCELONA WINE WEEK 2-4 FEBRUARY

Figures: 26,000-plus wine sector professionals, including 800 international buyers and 1,000 national buyers, are expected, with around 13,500 business meetings anticipated with 1,300 Spanish wineries representing 85-plus DOs and quality seals.

What’s new this year? For the first time, BWW will introduce a No & Low

Alcohol Day, developed with the

Brussels World Competition. The programme will include expert panels, technical tastings and blind sessions.

Satellite events: Under the ‘BWW

Likes the City’ banner, local hospitality venues will offer curated menus, tastings and experiences celebrating Spanish wine culture.

PARIS PACKAGING WEEK, 5-6 FEBRUARY

Figures: In 2025, the show welcomed 12,588 visitors – a 27% uptick from 2024 – marking the highest attendance in its 24-year history. Some 880 exhibitors also attended, and including those working on stands, the event attracted 17,969 people in total.

What’s new this year? A new section spotlighting refillable, reusable and circular packaging innovators will be introduced in 2026, plus an exclusive Innovation Awards party, scheduled for 4 February.

WINE PARIS, 9-11 FEBRUARY

Figures: 60,000 visitors from 155 countries, along with 6,000 exhibitors representing 60 nations, are predicted to attend. Last year, the fair became the largest wine and spirits trade event in the world, attracting 52,622 visitors and 4,600 exhibitors.

What’s new this year? For the first time, Wine Paris will be fully independent of Be Spirits Paris, which becomes a standalone exhibition within the event. This year also sees the launch of Be No Paris, dedicated to no-alcohol beverages.

Satellite events: A guide will showcase local restaurants, wine and spirits merchants and alcohol-free shops.

VINITALY 12-15 APRIL

Figures: Vinitaly 2025 saw 97,000 attendees, with the percentage of international professionals rising to 33% of the total. Vinitaly and the City, the off-show event in Verona city centre, sold 50,000-plus tasting tickets.

What’s new this year? Xcellent Spirits – Drink&Mix will launch at the mixology venue, alongside Xcellent Beer. Further expansion of the no/low offering is also under consideration.

Satellite events: Vinitaly and the City is an off-show programme of tastings, meetings and events across Verona, taking place in locations such as Cortile Mercato Vecchio, Piazza dei Signori and Cortile del Tribunale.

FOODEX JAPAN 10-13 MARCH

Figures: This year, 85,000 visitors and 3,000 exhibitors are expected to attend, an increase from 2025, when 2,930 companies from 74 countries and regions exhibited, and 72,000-plus buyers attended.

What’s new this year? There will be a dedicated and expanded sommelier-led wine section, Foodex Wine, highlighting a wide range of wines, including low-alcohol and natural styles. The show also features a new Foodex Frozen zone, as well as new sections Foodex Logistics and Food x AI and Startup Area.

PROWEIN DÜSSELDORF, 15-17 MARCH

Figures: 4,000 exhibitors from 60-plus nations are expected, including 500 exhibitors at ProSpirits.

What’s new this year? From 2026, ProWein becomes ProWein Düsseldorf under the motto ‘Shape, Create, Elevate’, featuring a Buyers Concierge Team, immersive festival-style experiences, a refined Fair Match tool with Live Arena, and the new Insight-to-Action (I2A) Framework for smarter matchmaking. Highlights include the expanded ProWein Agora talks, redesigned ProWein Zero and the Sparkling section with interactive tastings, a new hall layout and larger ProSpirits area.

Satellite events: The ProWein goes City concept will become ProWein City Vibes. The programme will begin on 12 March, and will include speed-dating, cinema nights, silent dance walks and artistic performances.

PROWINE TOKYO 15-17 APRIL

Figures: Some 56,685 visitors across five concurrent events attended last year’s show, with 190 exhibitors from 21 countries listing 1,200-plus bottles. What’s new this year? Attendees can expect a broad showcase of fine wines, innovative spirits and regional specialities, alongside masterclasses and seminars featuring leaders in the wine trade. PROWINE SINGAPORE 21-24 APRIL

Figures: Two hundred-plus exhibitors from 24-plus countries and regions, and 15,000-plus visitors, are expected to attend. The 2024 edition welcomed 14,907 trade visitors and 200 exhibitors from 27 countries.

What’s new this year? Visitors can expect a revamped programme, expanded international presence and new curated floor spaces. Must-visit areas include the World of Sparkling, Champagne Lounge, ProSpirits

Figures: Exhibitor figures were up 10% to 445 at last year’s event, with 20% more of the floor plan sold. Total visitor numbers at the 2025 edition hit 9,741.

What’s new this year? For the first time, LWF will introduce a ‘Host Nation’ focus: 2026 will spotlight Great Britain, with the largest presence of British producers in the show’s 45-year history, at 100-plus producers and brands. A flagship English wine stand will showcase 12 invited producers, including Simpsons Wine Estate and Gusbourne.

VINEXPO ASIA 26-28 MAY

Figures: After 2025’s Singapore edition drew nearly 9,000 professionals and underscored Southeast Asia’s rising global influence, the focus now shifts to Hong Kong.

What’s new this year? The event will attract professionals from across Asia, and will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

LONDON PACKAGING WEEK 16-17 SEPTEMBER

Figures: The 2025 event drew 5,500-plus visitors, according to Easyfairs UK – up around 10% on 2024, while hosting 211 exhibitors and 70-plus speakers.

What’s new this year? Divisional director Josh Brooks has said there will be a new start-up zone with a small theatre where businesses can “talk about what’s new”, as well as a village of eight to 10 design agencies.
