Daou Vineyards x Laver Cup

Daou Vineyards has been named the Official Wine Partner of the 2025 Laver Cup, taking place at San Francisco’s Chase Centre this September. Known for its world-class Cabernet Sauvignon and Bordeaux blends, DAOU will bring its signature hospitality to the tennis event through curated wine moments across VIP and guest experiences. “This partnership mirrors our shared commitment to excellence,” said Neb Lukic, president of luxury sales & marketing, Treasury Americas.

Appleton Estate

Appleton Estate unveiled The Source 51, the longest tropically aged rum ever released. Just 25 decanters exist, with three available in the UK via Berry Bros. & Rudd (£59,320). Aged in Jamaica’s Nassau Valley since 1973, it was presented in London by Master Blender, Dr. Joy Spence.

Château Tanunda has been named South Australian Wine Exporter of the Year at the 2025 Premier’s Business and Export Awards. As it celebrates 135 years of Barossa winemaking, the family estate continues to expand its global reach across 35+ countries. Recognised as Australian Wine Producer of the Year in Berlin for 12 consecutive years and home to Switzerland’s top Shiraz, the award honours the collective achievements of its passionate team, partners and growers worldwide.

The Macallan 1926 Masterpiece

A bottle of The Macallan 1926 60 Year Old has been transformed into a one-of-a-kind artwork by Roberto Ferri, commissioned by collector Nguyễn Đình Tuấn Việt. The hand-painted bottle, featuring allegorical nymphs of oak, barley, and flame, marks a new chapter in the whisky’s legacy. With only 40 bottles ever made, and one already fetching £2.18m at auction, this ‘Masterpiece Edition’ has reportedly turned down a US$10 million offer.

One Cask at a Time

New indie bottler, One Cask at a Time, launched yesterday (04 September) at Gosford House, East Lothian. The debut starred six single cask whiskies, from an 11-year-old Ben Nevis (£89) to a 27-year-old Highland Park (£699), each fitted with a digital “Bottle Passport” for provenance and story. Guests experienced tastings with whisky specialist and writer, Alwynne Gwilt, a performance by jazz singer, Niki King, a Bonhams display of classy watches, a Walker Slater pop-up of heritage tailoring, and a private library session to help choose the next release
