Introducing ‘After hours’
By db staff writerThis new Saturday newsletter from the drinks business will be highlighting which wines you should be drinking this weekend, and where to go to drink them.
In the crowded world of wines, wine bars and restaurants, finding stand outs can be a challenging task – fortunately, ‘After hours’ is here to help.
With regards to restaurant recommendations, ‘Wine List Confidential’ scores restaurants based on the strength of their wine offering, whereas ‘What to drink at…’ asks the buyers and sommeliers behind some of these lists which wines they think you should be sipping when you visit.

We will also be sharing the medal-winning bottles from the Global Wine Masters. Judged by an expert panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers, the Global Wine Masters competitions are tasted blind, removing prejudice and bias, and enabling hidden gems which might otherwise be overlooked to shine through.
Each newsletter, our editor-in-chief Patrick Schmitt MW will also select a ‘Wine of the week’ from among the entrants to have won a coveted Master medal.
