Tree House Brewing Company makes big plans for Boston
Massachusetts-based Tree House Brewing Company is seeking a licence to open a brewery, tasting room, and distillery at the Prudential Center in Boston.
According to the licensing board hearing page within the city’s website, plans revealing a 35,000-square-foot space with a brewing area, brewhouse and distilled spirits plant have been outlined.
The plans include “consumption areas” and a retail sales section on the first floor as well as “consumption areas with seating for approximately 121 people” on the second floor along with a patio.
The brewery, which currently has locations in Charlton, Sandwich, Deerfield, and Tewksbury and is based approximately 60 miles west of Boston is considered by some to be amongst the best breweries in the US according to beer-rating sites such as Untappd which ranked it as the eighth best brewery in America and Beer Advocate which has flagged that Tree House brews three out of the top 10 beers stateside.
Tree House Brewing Company was founded in 2011 when it was originally located in Brimfield, Massachusetts, then moved on to Monson, Massachusetts in 2013, before a multimillion dollar project secured its current site in 2017.
Tree House Brewing Company is a non-distributing brewery with its beers only available to buy on site. The planning proposal for the new brewery, distillery and tasting room follows Tree House opening a retail shop at the Prudential Center back in September, and also hosting a pop-up beer garden in the South Garden area too. The brewery’s social media has however given hints that there are plans afoot for more from Tree House coming soon.
