Barefoot Wine teams up with gymnast Simone Biles
Californian brand Barefoot has partnered with Simone Biles to offer NFL fans “the ultimate VIP game day experience”.
Barefoot Wine has announced a partnership with Simone Biles, one of the world’s most decorated gymnasts, for an NFL game day contest experience.
As a public figure with ties to the NFL through her husband, Green Bay Packers player Jonathan Owens, Biles brings both her personal connection to the game and her own sporting prowess to Barefoot’s campaign.
As the official wine sponsor of the NFL since 2022, Barefoot is offering an opportunity for one contest winner and three friends to join Biles for the 17 November Green Bay Packers vs. Chicago Bears game. The chosen winner will enjoy “pregame sideline access” before setting into Barefoot’s“BandWAGon Box” suite, a premium viewing area hosted by Biles, where Barefoot wines will be served.
Through the gymnast’s presence, Barefoot aims to make the NFL – and wine culture – more accessible to fans across all backgrounds.
“You don’t need to know every play, or every grape to enjoy both,” Biles noted. “It’s about kicking back and having a great time together.”
While the campaign strikes a lighthearted tone, Biles has faced considerable negativity online. From the difficult decision to withdraw from Tokyo 2020 to scrutiny over her marriage to Owens—where critics on social media have accused him of “riding her fame”—Biles has recently turned to Instagram to showcase her positive outlook on life and embrace joy unapologetically.
Barefoot, which is owned by E&J Gallo, sponsored last year’s Super Bowl, the biggest fixture in the world of NFL, attracting an estimated 113 million viewers.
