Graham’s Port becomes official adidas padel tennis tour sponsor

Graham’s Port announced as official drinks partner for adidas’ Home of Padel (HOP) tour and the International Padel Federation’s London Open this year.

The news will see Symington family owned Graham’s Port and Altano Wine provide wine for the padel tennis events across the summer, including the London Open on 3 to 6 August at the LTA’s National Tennis Centre.

Guests at the London event will receive port cocktails using Graham’s Blend Series, including Blend Nº5 White Port and Blend Nº12 Ruby Port, which are made specifically for mixing. Served from two branded bars, customers can select various cocktails including Blend Nº5 White Port and Tonic.

On the HOP Tour, a number of stands will be created at more than twenty events across the country. Altano wines will also be on offer as the exclusive wine supplier.

In addition, one of the London event’s courts has been named the Graham’s Port Court with deck chairs and parasols allowing spectators to relax with a cocktail during the matches. Players will also share the Graham’s logo on their Adidas HOP shirts, with branding visible elsewhere at the event too.

Founded in 2020, HOP is a UK padel company run by National GB men’s coach and former GB captain, John Leach and former LTA Padel Tour player Javier Serrats.

A social racket sport similar to tennis, it is played on an enclosed glass court roughly half the size of a tennis court, and claims to be the fastest growing sport worldwide with more than 18 million active players.

Vicky Symington, 5th generation family member and Graham’s Port brand manager, said of the news: “We’ve been working closely with padel in Portugal for the last few years, sponsoring competitions and events so we’re extremely excited about being the official drinks partner in the UK this year.

“We’re delighted to be bringing the refreshing flavours of the Graham’s Port Blend Series to padel spectators at various HOP events this summer. Whilst the padel players will bring their very best serves whilst on the court, we’re looking forward to providing the perfect port serves to those cheering them on!”

John Leach, GB padel coach, said: “It’s a really exciting time for UK padel. The growth and appetite for the sport is unprecedented with so many new courts and clubs popping up across the country. We are delighted to be working with Graham’s who bring a fresh take on port whilst supporting our biggest event yet.”
