French supermarket wine recalled over broken glass fears

A warning has been issued by a French government website over two wines they believe may contain slivers of glass.

French government website Rappel Conso has issued a warning on Twitter over two wines, both sold by the half bottle, that they feel are likely to contain broken glass.

They are: a Côtes-du-Rhône red 2020 Château de Beaulieu, which was sold in Monoprix stores across France between 18 January 2022 to 10 February 2023. And: 2019 Château Saint Roman red Côtes-du-Rhône, in 375ml bottles, which was sold at Metro stores across France between 18 January 2022 to 10 February 2023.

“The products concerned are likely to contain broken glass. Consumers are invited to return these wines to their point of sale,” Rappel Conso said, per French news site Connexion France.
