Find the cocktail that perfectly matches your personality

In time for National Margarita Day today, Jose Cuervo has launched a Margarita Matchup service — an online platform that creates bespoke tequila cocktail recipes based on the results of a personality test.

Find the cocktail that perfectly matches your personality

Jose Cuervo‘s Margarita Matchup has over 300 different recipe variations, in the hopes of providing tequila lovers with their perfect match.

All you have to do to find your perfect cocktail is take a quick personality quiz. Every element of the Margarita —from its ingredients and composition to garnishes and glassware — are matched to the individual variables of the personality test to make something bespoke for each person.

You’ll be asked how to best describe yourself, your perfect day out, and your favourite quality in a friend to find your perfect Margarita match.

According to the Matchup’s makers, kind, empathetic characters might have drinks made from sweet honey and delicate, pink Himalayan salt.

However, people with more boisterous, exuberant, and intense traits might find themselves coupled with blood orange and crisp, crushed ice.

The Margarita Matchup has been developed in partnership with behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings and tequila expert Maria Modaferri.

Speaking of her involvement in Jose Cuervo’s Margarita Match, psychologist Jo Hemmings said: “Personality can have such an impact on the flavours we like, as well as serving preferences so we wanted to create a platform that allows people to find their perfect drink in honour of one of the world’s favourite cocktails.”

The Margarita Matchup service is available online.

According to new research, the Margarita is the most popular cocktail in Spain, where it was searched for 495,000 times a year on average. Can you guess the most popular cocktails in other countries across Europe? Click here for the answers.
