Hard Rock canned cocktails come to the UK

Hard Rock’s on a roll as its ready-to-drink cocktails have now made their debut in Europe, with three flavours available on the UK market.

The first Hard Rock Café opened in London in 1971, and now, more than half a century later, the brand’s canned cocktails are going back to their roots.

Kimberly Manna, Hard Rock International’s senior vice president of retail and licensing, said: “Hard Rock was born in London so it’s with great pride that we expand our ready-to-drink cocktails with the first international taste in our hometown”.

“We’re excited to continue extending our brand and helping fans around the globe to enjoy at home,” Manna continued. “We were inspired by the world’s most loved cocktails and expertly blended them so that our customers can enjoy bartender-like quality, no matter what the venue.” The cocktails available are a Piña Colada, Mojito and Passion Fruit Martini, all at 5% ABV.

The cocktails were initially launched in the US last year, where they have proven to be popular, with a Moscow Mule, Long Island Ice Tea and hard seltzers also in the range. Additionally, expanded international distribution this year will include launches in Greece, Cyprus, Malta, Switzerland, Ireland, Germany, Poland, Spain, Portugal, France, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea and Australia.

Today, Hard Rock International operates 265 locations across 70 countries. The attachment of the widely recognised Hard Rock brand to an RTD is a further indication of the growth of this ‘non-traditional’ drinks market.
