Yes, if you frequent the capital’s many bar joints, then you may well have been served by none other than Tom Holland as your bartender without you even realising.

Holland revealed to Sirius XM’s Pop Culture Spotlight programme that he did genuinely work some secret shifts as a bartender in London – so secretive was the stunt, in fact, that even the bar’s general manager didn’t know about it…

For context, it’s worth mentioning that Holland’s character in new movie Uncharted is a bartender.

“One of my favorite things about what we do for a living is when you get the opportunity to learn a new skill for a reason, other than you just want to give it a go,” Tom Holland told Sirius XM.

“So, I went to a bartending school. I ended up doing a few shifts at this bar in London, which was a lot of fun. I really enjoyed it. And it’s a nice little set piece in the movie.”

Anyway, it turns out that the bar’s general manager did not know that Hollywood movie star was currently mixing up drinks in his venue, and word got around that he could be found working at the bar in question.

“As word spread around town and people started figuring out that ‘apparently Tom Holland’s bartending at this bar,’ then the general manager started figuring it out. And then eventually I sort of got kicked out,” he revealed. “I have been back to the bar, but it’s a little bit of a rocky relationship at the minute. I’ve been giving them a lot of press though. So, they just shut up and let me back.”

He pulled off the stunt by literally trading places with a bartender who was meant to be on shift. “I had to have a white tuxedo and everything. I would go in there and take the bartender’s clothes and be in there undercover,” Tom said.

“It was fun. I enjoyed myself.”

And the venue? Well, we can’t be 100% sure, but it turns out that Holland did an interview with GQ last year, during which he suggested that he had worked shifts at upscale London bar Chiltern Firehouse.
