McGuigan Zero sees sales uplift

Alcohol free wine brand McGuigan Zero, which has seen sales lift across Australia, is now enjoying a boost in sales across the UK.

Speaking to db, Australian Vintage Limited (AVL) revealed that McGuigan Zero has grown to become “the number one selling alcohol-free wine in Australia” and within a year of its launch, has also started to gain traction as one of the “largest brands in the UK market”. According to Nielsen, sales over the last 12 weeks show that McGuigan Zero is “the second largest wine brand within the low/no category”.

AVL, which owns and operates Australia’s spinning cone technology, plays an integral part in McGuigan’s journey into the no/low category and has been perfecting its technique for crafting full flavour wines that are free from alcohol for over 20 years. With its 20 years of experience producing no-alcohol wines, AVL are the perfect partner to unlock growth whilst delivering a best in market product.

In the Australian drinks awards, the McGuigan Estate won four out of the top five fan favourites with rosé grabbing the top spot and the sparkling sitting in the second position.

Across the McGuigan Zero range, bottles of Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, rosé and sparkling wines are all now available in major UK grocery stores retailing at around £5 per bottle.

For 2022, AVL has plans for the McGuigan Zero range to become vegan-friendly, tapping into changing consumer lifestyle preferences and expects an uplift in sales as it continues to reflect the core values of its consumers.
