Kendall Jenner apparently mistaken for server while giving out her own Tequila, offered US$100 tip

Supermodel and member of America’s most famous family, Kendall Jenner, was apparently mistaken for a server when she was giving out her own Tequila brand, 818, in the Hamptons recently.

Yes, it seems even one of the most recognised faces on the planet can suffer a case of mistaken identity, though in Kendall Jenner’s case it lead to the supermodel being offered a $100 tip.

According to celeb news publication Page Six, Jenner was in the Hamptons to promote 818 Tequila when she popped behind the bar to serve up some free shots for the clientele. A generous customer subsequently tried to tip the brand owner, whose sister Kylie is a billionaire, $100 for her troubles.

“She was having lunch with the spot’s owner Zach Erdem and then got behind the bar and made drinks for customers … No one refused a drink and a customer even tried to give her a $100 tip.” A source told Page Six.

The 25-year-old’s Tequila brand is already proving a monumental success with consumers.

Reports surfaced last month that 818 Tequila had sold out online just four hours after its launch.

“Kendall became an overnight tequila mogul,” one insider said at the time.

The same source said that Jenner’s Tequila could “could barely meet the consumer demand”, amid reports of store shortages within 24 hours of the release.

Jenner has proved a shrewd operator in marketing the drink, which is seen on many of her famous pal’s Instagram pages, as well as on the supermodel’s own account, which boasts 183 million followers.

With an army of fans that size, it’s no surprise the tipple is selling so well.
