Lebron James ‘sneaks’ bottle of his own Tequila into NBA Finals

NBA all star Lebron James appeared to have ‘snuck’ a bottle of his own brand Tequila into Game Five of the NBA Finals, in what may have been an incredibly shrewd marketing move.

Amid a star-studded crowd at Game 5 of the NBA Finals – which is being contested by the Milwaukee Bucks and Phoenix Suns – Lebron James managed to create a buzz about his Tequila, after fans spotted that he seemed to have an entire bottle with him courtside.

While most assumed that he was served the Tequila or permitted to keep it with him court side because of his star status within the league, a tweet from James later seemed to imply that he had actually snuck the bottle in.

NBA rules and regulations prohibit bringing alcohol into arenas.

After a tweet that read: “They let LeBron bring his own bottle of tequila into the arena tonight […] LeBron James, Maverick Carter, Rich Paul, Anthony Davis, and Draymond Green are all investors in the “Lobos 1707” brand.” Was posted, Lebron responded, writing:

“They let me??? Ok we’ll go with that! “BYOT” Bring Your Own Tequila!”

As commercials during the high-rating NBA Finals carry a hefty premium, we guess it really does pay to be the king…
