db launches The English and Welsh Wine Masters

To reflect the growing importance of Britain as a winemaking nation, the drinks business has launched the English and Welsh Wine Masters competition.

Since the ’70s winemaking in England and Wales has changed dramatically, producing a diverse range of internationally recognised wines.

Keen to celebrate this exciting and fast-growing wine region, we have decided to launch The English and Welsh Wine Masters 2021, sponsored by Bevica. The competition is open to anyone producing wine in England and Wales and will be judged in July.

All Global Masters competitions are judged blind by the finest palates in the world – a panel of Masters of Wine, Master Sommeliers and senior buyers.

The best competing wines are awarded medals from Bronze through to Gold, and ultimately ‘Master’ for exceptional examples. The calibre of the judges guarantees international recognition of all the medals awarded.

“At a time when businesses are evolving due to the many challenges of this worldwide pandemic, it feels particularly relevant that Bevica sponsors initiatives within the drinks sector,” said Pippa Odell, managing director of TVision Technology.

“We are delighted that Bevica is sponsoring The English and Welsh Wine Masters competition this year, because we understand that wine companies’ business models and processes are evolving at unprecedented speed.

“Our cloud-based Bevica platform can support these businesses and help them to evolve. We wish all of the entrants good luck in this year’s competition, and look forward to attending the judging sessions,” Odell added.

If you are interested in entering the competition, you can do so here. The deadline for entries is 23 June.
