The Drinks Trust launches networking platform

The Drinks Trust has launched an online networking platform called The Drinks Community where members of the trade can connect and share their knowledge.

Due to launch in January, the aim is for the platform to be the leading networking, upskilling, careers and vocational space in the drinks industry.

The Drinks Community will help its members develop in their careers via practical advice, vocational materials, networking opportunities and forums.

Encouraging the sharing of ideas and insight, the platform’s founding committee will guide the events programme, offering their expertise and advice.

Among the members of the committee are: Amber Gardner (NoMad), Declan McGurk (The Boatyard Distillery), Freddie Cobb (Vagabond Wines), Harriet Kininmonth (Enotria&Coe), Isabelle Gormezano Marks (Small Beer Brew Co), Jacine Rutasikwa (Matugga Distillers), Millie Milliken (Imbibe), Sylvia Oates (Best Bar None) and Tom Surgey (Three Wine Men, Pingza).

The Drinks Community will be the voice of drinks people. We will create, curate and share the most relevant and exciting vocational content that will help grow your career and connect you with more people, and more opportunity, from across our vibrant industry,” The Drinks Trust’s CEO, Ross Carter said.

“We will offer the services and opportunities that will help our people become more skilled, making our sector stronger, smarter, more connected, more resilient and more diverse,” he added.

The Drinks Trust will be launching The Drinks Community mentor programme and will be calling for applicants in the coming weeks. If you would like to become a mentor, please contact: community@thedrinkstrust.org.uk
