Bollinger Family Group appoints new chief operating officer

Société Jacques Bollinger (SJB) – the Bollinger Family Group – has appointed a new chief operating officer (COO) who has previous experience at Unilver and Maison du Chocolat, the drinks business can exclusively reveal.

Almost one year after former COO of the Bollinger holding company Jérôme Philipon left the business, SJB told db yesterday that a replacement had been found called Gérard Bouleau.

He is a graduate of NEOMA (Reims), and has worked in various companies (Unilever, Danone Group, Barilla Group), and for the past 15 years has been the CEO of Savencia Gourmet (which owns Valrhona, Maison du Chocolat, and Weiss) within the Bongrain Family Group.

Commenting on his appointment, Etienne Bizot, Chairman & CEO of SJB, said, “I am very happy to welcome Gérard to SJB. Working alongside myself, he is taking on the responsibility for our development in collaboration with the managers of our subsidiaries. He has a recognized expertise in managing the growth of a group of premium brands around customer priority, digital transformation and C.S.R. These will be assets and skills that will benefit our brands, our markets and therefore our development. It will be a pleasure for me to work with him in the years ahead and I wish him all the success he deserves in his new role with us.”

Société Jacques Bollinger (SJB) comprises estates in France (Bollinger and Ayala in Champagne, Chanson Père et Fils in Burgundy, Langlois-Chateau in the Loire and Delamain in Cognac) with two distribution Agencies (Bollinger Diffusion in France and Mentzendorff in the UK).
