Billed as the first Sherry hotel in the world, Hotel Bodega Tío Pepe occupies renovated buildings that were once winery workers’ cottages.

Surrounded by walled streets and courtyards, the hotel is situated in Jerez’s historic Old Town, opposite the alcázar de Jerez and the city’s cathedral.

The property boasts an upper terrace with views over the cathedral and alcázar, a swimming pool, solarium, chill-out space, bar and restaurant.

It also features the Pedro Nolasco garden with a tranquil terrace that opens out onto Calle Ciegos and La Recachita. The hotel has its own gym and massage room.

The venue’s 27 rooms are divided into Classic, Premium, Deluxe spaces, as well as three suites: the Oloroso Alfonso y Amontillado Viña AB Junior Suite; the Superior Palo Cortado Leonor Junior Suite; and the Fino Tío Pepe Presidential Suite.

Focusing on Andalusian flavours, the hotel boasts a trio of dining spaces – the Sala La Reservada breakfast room; the Restaurante Gran Bodega lunch space; and the Restaurante Villa Ricardo dining area that serves seasonal dishes made from local produce alongside the full range of wines within the González Byass portfolio.

In addition, you can grab a Tio Pepe cocktail at one of the hotel’s drinking dens – Bar Solera 1847, and Bar Terraza La Atalaya, where you can watch the sunset over rooftops of Jerez.

During their stay, guests can go on winery tours, take part in tastings, walk through the vineyards and explore the estate’s extensive archives.
