Justerinis announces partnership with Rall
UK fine wine merchant Justerini & Brooks has announced a new partnership with South African producer Donovan Rall.
The St James’s merchant will become the UK agent for Rall’s wines with immediate effect and it is the latest young South African producer Justerini & Brooks has added to its portfolio, alongside David and Nadia Sadie and Jolandie Fouche of Wolf & Woman.
Buyer Mark Dearing commented: “Donovan Rall is firmly on the vanguard of the New Wave South Africa and is widely respected across the industry.
“We’ve long been admirers of Donovan’s finely tuned style and to be given the opportunity to represent the wines in the UK going forward is hugely exciting.”
After studying at the University of Stellenbosch and working in Europe and New Zealand, Rall worked with Miles Mossop and Eben Sadie before branching out on his own in 2008.
Inspired by the Mediterranean and Rhône Valley in particular, Rall prefers minimal intervention winemaking.
His range began with a Chenin Blanc-based ‘Cape’ white blend and now includes a red blend and Grenache Blanc, Cinsault, Chenin Blanc and Syrah wines.
