Network connecting top restaurants and regulars to launch in London

A global network connecting some of London’s top restaurants with regular diners is set to launch in the capital in January.

The Clove Club in Shoreditch will be part of the inHouse network

Called inHouse, the network was founded in 2016 by Benjy Leibowitz, the London-born former maître d’ at Daniel Humm’s NoMad in New York as a way to encourage strong relationships between regular diners and restaurant teams.

The platform has over 60 partner restaurants, including some of the most dynamic dining spots in New York and London. “We started inHouse in New York with a simple idea; to connect great restaurant teams with great regulars, linking hospitality across the city.

“It’s been wonderful to see our concept grow so organically since then, adopted by both like-minded, hospitality focused teams, and diners invested in a broader dining culture,” said Leibowitz.

Benjy Leibowitz is expanding his inHouse network to London

“We couldn’t be more excited to be expanding to London; the dining scene is one of the most exciting in the world, and we’ve been warmly welcomed already by an incredible group of restaurant teams.

“We feel very lucky to have an opportunity to contribute to a vibrant dining culture across the Atlantic,” he added.

Among the New York restaurants within the inHouse network are: Blue Hill, Charlie Bird, Cosme, Estela, Gramercy Tavern, King, Lilia, The Modern, NoMad, Union Square Café and Wildair.

The London restaurants involved so far are: Barbary, Brat, Clipstone, The Clove Club, Cora Pearl, Darby’s, Davies & Brook, Emilia, Evelyn’s Table, Flor, Gymkhana, Hoppers, Ikoyi, J Sheekey, Kitty Fisher’s, Luca, Lyle’s, Noble Rot, The Palomar, Portland, Quality Chop House, Quo Vadis, Rochelle Canteen, Scott’s, Scully, St John, Two Lights, Xu.

Members of inHouse benefit from their own bookings platform, connections at partner restaurants worldwide and special events.

The network’s ‘Home Away from Home’ series brings together restaurant teams from both cities, such as The Barbary takeover at Fedora in New York and Barrafina’s residency at Casa Mono in New York.

Heading up inHouse in London is James Murray, former restaurant manager at The Clove Club and maître d’ of the Holborn Dining Room.

“Having slung quite a few plates in some of the most exciting rooms in London, I have found our restaurant scene to be a community, even an extended family. When the chef or GM is your friend, the whole dining experience is taken to another level. It’s the access to the people, and the human connection that makes it special,” said Murray.

“I’m thrilled to be leading the charge in London. We have a unique scene here but that the mission is the same as New York; connecting the most inspiring restaurants and regular diners in a way that hugely benefits both,” he added.

Membership will open in late 2019 by invitation from partner restaurants, and inHouse will be taking online applications for membership in January.
