Wines of Argentina counts down to the next Barullo Sessions events

Wines of Argentina’s Barullo Sessions events in London and Edinburgh aim to explore the country’s changing winemaking, the development of Cabernet Franc and why the new white wines are starting to sing.

Taking place in London on 22 October and Edinburgh on 24 October, Wines of Argentina’s latest Barullo Sessions events will shine a spotlight on the current trends in Argentine wine.

With masterclasses and winery representatives present at both events, the Barullo Sessions will also feature some new wineries seeking representation in the UK for those looking to add to their portfolios.

David Bonomi of Bodega Norton and Per Se will deliver a masterclass in London on the subject of changing winemaking in Argentina, while Wines of Argentina’s Phil Crozier will deliver a presentation in Edinburgh, making the case for Cabernet Franc and new white wines.

The tasting will also feature two tables dedicated to wines made from vineyards above 1,500m in altitude and the growth of premium wines made without oak.

Organic and biodynamic wines will also receive a strong showing. Wines of Argentina has said that by bringing its Barullo Sessions event to Edinburgh for the first time, it is hoping to both maintain links to the trade and capitalise on what is a “growing market” for Argentine wine in Scotland.
