Taking place on 8 September at the Surrey estate, the team is hoping to raise £10,000+ for the trade charity.

Co-ordinated by course veterans Peter Richards MW and Susie Barrie MW alongside Julia Tristram-Eve and Lucy Marcuson, the runners (of varying ability) will be tackling the half marathon and 10km routes on offer at the event.

So far, runners and teams from Ridgeview, Bancroft, Chapel Down, Waitrose, Sopexa and Decanter are taking part, as well as Nik Darlington from Red Squirrel/Graft Wine Company, Jacob Leadley winemaker at Black Chalk Wines, Charlie Holland from Gusbourne, Ruth Spivey, Sophie Jump, Esther Dawson, Elliot Awin, Elisabeth Else and Rupert Millar from db.

Beginning at the Denbies estate, the routes wend their way through the vines, National Trust countryside and woodland along the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way, with wine refreshment and live bands along the trail.

Fancy dress is positively de rigeur (or at least strongly encouraged).

Other members of the trade are welcome to join the team either as fellow runners or as support team.

All are encouraged to donate to the team’s justgiving page, which can be found here.
