6,000 glasses of English sparkling wine expected at Investec Derby
Caterers at the Investec Derby in Epsom predict that racegoers will work their way through some 6,000 glasses of English sparkling wine thanks to the Jockey Club’s its new sponsorship deal with producer Coates & Seely.

It is estimated that racegoers will drinks some 6,000 glasses of homegrown fizz.
As well as the punters themselves, Coates & Seely will also be offered to all winning owners and trainers after the races too.
At each race meet Coates & Seely will have an official presence as well in the shape of a classic 1952 British Leyland coach, liveried in green and off-white, and from which its wines can be sold to racegoers.
Rhys Owen, head chef of the Jockey Club, told the drinks business: “It’s very fitting that the finest British ingredients are complimented by the most delectable English wines. With the English wine industry growing as rapidly as it is, there’s a wine to suit every course, whether you order smoked salmon or lamb.
“I’m incredibly excited to see which fresh flavour combinations the English wine industry will produce next”
