HDH announces largest ‘Celebration of Burgundy’ yet

US auctioneer Hart Davis Hart has announced the full details of its eighth ‘Celebration of Burgundy’ sale, which is taking place next month and due to be its largest yet.

The sale will be held in Chicago from 17-18 May and will feature 2,550 lots, worth an estimated total of US$5.04 million to US$7.59m.

In total, wines from 212 domaines will be offered covering vintages from 1937 to 2017.

There is an impressive consignment of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, covering 187 lots and 73 vintages from 1942-2015, with US$412,000-622,000 worth of Romanée-Conti and $391,600-582,400 worth of La Tâche.

There are also large offerings of Armand Rousseau, Domaine Leroy and Domaine Dujac, and plenty of top white wines from DRC, Coche-Dury and Domaine Leflaive.
