Pizza Hut is expanding its US beer delivery service ahead of the Super Bowl

Fast food giant Pizza Hut is expanding the reach of its beer delivery service in the US in the run-up to the Super Bowl, one of the brand’s biggest trading days of the year.

The restaurant chain, launched its beer delivery test in Arizona in December 2017 and now runs the service at seven sites, plans to expand its beer delivery service to 300 US locations by mid-January across Florida, Iowa, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio, and additional locations across California and Arizona. The group aims to add an additional 700 sites by summer 2019.

The beer delivery expansion is a “brand priority” for Pizza Hut, as it aims to raise awareness and ramp up sales ahead of the Super Bowl in mid-February, which is one of the busiest trading days of the year for the chain.

Around 12 beers are available through the brand’s delivery service include Blue Moon, Bud Light, Budweiser, Coors Light, Corona Extra, and Stella Artois.

“As the official Pizza Sponsor of the NFL, we’ve been celebrating football fans all season long, so it only makes sense for us to bring more customers the beloved combo of pizza and beer ahead of the Super Bowl,” said Marianne Radley, Pizza Hut’s chief brand officer.

“We are proud to be pioneers of beer delivery and are well-poised to take on more markets in the coming year.”
