Moët and Chandon’s London pop-up is hosting live shows with Edith Bowman and Paloma Faith

Champagne house Moët and Chandon has opened a pop-up members’ club in west London that combines British culture with French fizz.

Londoners are being asked to register on the brand’s website for complimentary “membership” to the pop-up Summer House.

Set in a Georgian townhouse overlooking Grosvenor’s Square in Mayfair, the Moët Summer House will run for three days from 8th to 10th June, and present a series of masterclasses, live talks and podcasts with celebrities from Paloma Faith to Jason Atherton.

As Moët’s new UK Brand Ambassador, Michelin-starred Pollen Street Social chef Jason Atherton will prepare Friday evening and Sunday Roast menus specially matched to a selection of the brand’s cuvées.

Paloma Faith, meanwhile, will attend on Saturday morning for a live interview in the Impérial Suite with Caroline Barrett, acting editor of Grazia Magazine.

The former The Voice judge is the only British female singer after Adele to have all her three albums go double-platinum in the UK and in 2015. Faith was also cast in Terry Gilliam’s The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus as Sally, the girlfriend of the Devil (played by Tom Waits) in 2009.

Also in the Imperial Suite, presenter and former BBC Radio 1 DJ Edith Bowman will record an episode of her Sound Tracking Podcast — whose past guests include Hugh Grant, Garth Jennings and Greta Gerwig — live on the Saturday.

Marie-Christine Osselin from Benoît Gouez’s winemaking team will also offer a tasting session on Friday, allowing ticket-holders to sample a range of the house’s wines, including the Moët Impérial NV and Rosé Impérial NV.

Ending the weekend with a bang, model Jack Guinness will MC a pub quiz in the Grand Hall on Sunday, covering all things pop-culture.

Uniting London and French society, Saturday and Sunday afternoons will feature the women’s and men’s finals of France’s iconic tennis competition, Roland Garros.

While some events, such as a performance by ballet dancer Eric Underwood, are complimentary with attendees’ memberships, tickets for events such as the tasting and podcast range from between £25 and £65.
