Goedhuis adds new directors

Georgina Crawley and James Low have been made directors at fine wine merchant Goedhuis and will join the executive board.

The merchant said the promotions were part of a “major business review strategy”, following the appointment of Justin Randall as managing director and Tom Stopford Sackville’s return from Hong Kong and appointment as chief executive in 2017.

Crawley joined the company in 2014 and has worked at several major merchants during her 14 years in the industry.

In her new role as business development director, she will focus on the company’s business strategy which will involve working closely with the sales, buying and marketing teams.

She commented: “There is a terrific opportunity to add value across the business, both developing existing areas and expanding into new sectors to sustain and build on the company’s position within the fine wine market.

“Within such a competitive market place it is wonderful to belong to a company who is ambitious, but whose values and outlook on growth are centred on strong long-term relationships.”

Low meanwhile has been a member of the sales team for 15 years and in his new position he will work to expand Goedhuis’s private client base in both domestic and international markets.

Chairman Johnny Goedhuis commented: “These two talented new directors who will be pivotal in the company’s ongoing development.”
