Joe Fattorini to join FMV

Berry Bros & Rudd has announced that Joe Fattorini is to join its wholesaling arm, Fields, Morris & Verdin, as head of sales for London next month.

Fattorini will take over from the out-going Andrew Higgs on 18 June. An increasingly high profile public figure due to his role as the wine expert across two series of The Wine Show, Fattorini’s most recent trade role was director of London sales at Bibendum and before that he managed teams and national accounts across central and northern England and Scotland for Bibendum and Matthew Clark.

With 30 years experience in the trade, Fattorini has held multiple roles ranging from sommelier to retailer and even as a writer, with a column in Glasgow newspaper The Herald, which ran for 14 years.

Fattorini commented: “It feels very special to join the FMV team. And in London too. The most vibrant and exciting place for wine lovers in the world. The FMV team is industry leading and the portfolio is the best there is.

“Having filmed at Berry Bros & Rudd for the second series of The Wine Show, it feels a bit like a home from home. Sales is what I do best and when this extraordinary opportunity came up, I didn’t need to be asked to join twice.”

Matt Davies, managing director for Fields, Morris & Verdin and Berry Bros & Rudd Wholesale added: “Joe brings considerable trade experience which will be invaluable to both the FMV and BB&R wholesale channels. I know Joe is looking forward to working with our impressive portfolio of producers and getting out there and catching up with customers – both old and new. We look forward to him joining the team.”
